Photoshop Lightroom

June 7-8
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a new software program built from the ground up for the professional photographer. Photoshop Lightroom is designed to move images efficiently from capture and development to presentation and printing. Students will learn how to edit a shoot, add essential metadata and process the perfect file with exposure, tonal and color corrections, custom grayscale conversions and split-toning effects. We will also address integrating Photoshop Lightroom with Photoshop CS3.

Digital Camera to Print

June 14-15
This course explores the essential technical and creative considerations required to achieve the best results with your digital camera, enhance your images and make stunning inkjet prints. You will learn the essential digital camera settings, fundamental color management and image enhancement skills, and how to make prints that truly express your vision. More importantly, the course teaches professional strategies and techniques to capture the best information to create the best image.

Digital Asset Management: Where is My DAM File

July 12-13
The artistic and business aspects of professional beauty retouching will be addressed in this course. We will cover retouching techniques that include maintaining skin texture, enhancing make-up and improving body contours that are used to make the beautiful look perfect. Additionally, the course will address working with clients, negotiating "redos" and submitting final files.

Real-World Digital Capture with Capture One
With Eric Isaac and Eric Zepeda, Digital Workflow Experts
July 19-20
Combining lectures, case studies and hands-on lab time with digital SLR cameras and Capture One Pro, this course will address how to process digital camera files for a variety of outputs, proper exposure technique, file format considerations and file management. Digital color management and digital asset management will also be addressed to provide a strong working knowledge of professional digital capture.

Panoramic, HDR and Synthetic Depth of Field Photography

This course will explore creative panoramic stitching and shooting, and processing HDR images and synthetic depth-of-field techniques. Starting with camera settings and shooting tips, we will quickly move into processing files with Adobe Photoshop to build HDR files that contain detail in the whitest whites and deepest shadows. Learn how to work with PhotoMerge to create stunning panoramic images and how to use image stacking to increase depth of field.
